Introduction

TZ Portfolio inherits all the features of com_content so in this case we only mention the features that joomla not. If you want to know the basic features of com_content follow this path Joomla! Documentation

Group Fields

Select Components → TZ Portfolio → Fields Group from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! Installation.

Group Fields manager is used to add, edit and delete Groups fields. Group-field-portfolio.jpg

Column Headers

Click on the column heading to sort the list by that column's value. The list will be sorted in the order that column and a sort icon will be shown next to the column name, as below. Column-sort-up.jpg

Click a second time to reverse the sort to high-to-low. The sort icon will change to high-to-low, as shown below.

  • Checkbox. Check this box to select one or more items. To select all items, check the box in the column heading. After one or more boxes are checked, click a toolbar button to take an action on the selected item or all items. Many toolbar actions, such as Publish and Unpublish can work with multiple items. In addition, such as Edit, only work on one item at a time. If multiple items are checked and you press Edit, the first item will be opened for editing.
  • Name. The name of the item. This entry can not be empty. You can open the item for editing by clicking on the Name.
  • ID. This is a unique identification number for this item assigned automatically by Joomla!. It is used to identify the item internally, and you cannot change this number. When creating a new item, this field displays 0 until you save the new entry, at which point a new ID is assigned to it.

Toolbar

At the top right you will see the toolbar: Toolbar1.jpg

The functions are:

  • New. Opens the editing screen to create a new field.
  • Edit. Opens the editing screen for the selected field. If more than one article is selected (where applicable), only the first article will be opened. The editing screen can also be opened by clicking on the Name of the field.
  • Publish. Makes the selected fields available to add an article.
  • Unpublish. Makes the selected fields unavailable to add an article.

Filter by Partial Title

You can filter the list of items either by entering part of the name.

  • Filter by Partial Title. In the upper left is a filter field and two buttons, as shown below. Filter-search.jpg
  • To filter by partial title, enter part of the title and click Search. Click Clear to clear the Filter field and restore the list to its unfiltered state.
  • Page Controls. When the number of items is more than one page, you will see a page control bar as shown below. Pagenav.jpg
  • Display #: Select the number of items to show on one page.
  • Start: Click to go to the first page.
  • Prev: Click to go to the previous page.
  • Page numbers: Click to go to the desired page.
  • Next: Click to go to the next page.
  • End: Click to go to the last page.

Add, Edit Group field

To add a new Group field, press the 'New' icon in the toolbar. To edit an existing Group field, click on the Group field title or click the Group field’s checkbox and then click on the Edit icon in the toolbar. Add-edit-groupfield.jpg

  • Name: The Name for this item. This may not display on the page.
  • Description: The description for the item. These descriptions are entered using the same editor that is used for Fields in Articles.

After information is already enter the full enough, click on the add or edit icon in the toolbar. Notes: This item has no parameters.

Toolbar

The functions are:

  • Save. Saves the group fields and stays in the current screen.
  • Save & Close. Saves the group fields and closes the current screen.
  • Save & New. Saves the group fields and keeps the editing screen open and ready to create another group fields.
  • Cancel/Close. Closes the current screen and returns to the previous screen without saving any modifications you may have made.

Fields

  • Order by. The order in which to display items when add a Article. You can sort the list by order number by clicking on the Ordering label in the column heading. If the list is sorted by this column, you can change the order by clicking the arrows or by entering the sequential order and clicking the 'Save Order' icon. This is shown in the screen below.

  • Type. This is the type tag you want to use for input data.
  • Published. (Published/Unpublished) The published status of the item.

  • Options. Opens the Options window where settings such as default parameters can show or hide fields to visitors to your website. Can choose the Options icon and this parameter will lie in the TZ Portfolio tab, such as the image below :

List Filters

Above the column headers are a series of controls that let you limit what items show in the manager screen. More than one filter may be entered. In this case, only items that meet all of the filter conditions will show on the list.

  • Filter by Partial Name. In the upper left is a filter field and two buttons, as shown below. Filter-search.jpg

  • Filter by Type. Lets you show only items that have a specific type assigned. The list box will show the types defined for creating or editing article, similar to the example below. Selecttype.jpg
  • - Select Type -: Show items assigned to any group.
  • <your group>: Show items assigned only to this group.
  • Page Controls. When the number of items is more than one page, you will see a page control bar as shown below. Pagenav.jpg
  • Display #: Select the number of items to show on one page.

Add, Edit a field

This is the back-end screen where you can add and edit Field. The same screen is used for adding a new Field and editing an existing Field. You can also select the Group and Type for an Field and indicate whether or not it is Published and if it is selected to appear on the Form Create or Edit Article.

The Field's description is edited using the default editor selected in the User Manager - New/Edit. The Joomla! default editor is called TinyMCE. Addedit-field.jpg

Details Information

Enter the detail information for the Field, as shown below:

  • Title. The Title for this item.
  • Fields Group. Select the field group for this Field from the list box. If you selected '— Select Group —' for the Section, the Fields Group will automatically be '— Select Group —'.
  • Published. Whether or not this item is published. Select Yes or No from the radio button group to set the Published state for this item.
  • Type. Select the type for this field from the drop-down list box. This item must select.
  • Description. The description for the item.

Image, Image gallery and Video for article

Can only choose one in image or album or video in an article

Image

In the new form to create or edit the article, select the tab Image.

In this tab will have to enter the following information: Image. Select a picture from computer to upload to the server Browse server. Choose a photo already on the server, if not select a photo from your computer Image title. The title of the photo can enter or not enter.

In the new form to create or edit the article, select the tab Image gallery.
