Introduction

TZ Portfolio inherits all the features of com_content so in this case we only mention the features that joomla not. If you want to know the basic features of com_content follow this path Joomla! Documentation

Group Fields

How to Access

Select Components → TZ Portfolio → Fields Group from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! Installation.

Group Fields manager is used to add, edit and delete Groups fields.

Column Headers

Click on the column heading to sort the list by that column's value. The list will be sorted in the order that column and a sort icon will be shown next to the column name, as below.

  • Ordering. . Up-Down ArrowsOrdering-colheader-icon.png User specified ordering, default is order of item creation. When active, drag and drop ordering by 'click and hold' on the icon Ordering-colheader-grab-bar-icon.png then 'release' in desired position.
  • • Checkbox. Check this box to select one or more items. To select all items, check the box in the column heading. After one or more boxes are checked, click a toolbar button to take an action on the selected item or all items. Many toolbar actions, such as Publish and Unpublish can work with multiple items. In addition, such as Edit, only work on one item at a time. If multiple items are checked and you press Edit, the first item will be opened for editing.
  • Status. Status of Fields, Published, Unpublished.
  • Name. The name of the item. This entry can not be empty. You can open the item for editing by clicking on the Name.
  • Group. The Group this item belongs to.
  • ID. This is a unique identification number for this item assigned automatically by Joomla!. It is used to identify the item internally, and you cannot change this number. When creating a new item, this field displays 0 until you save the new entry, at which point a new ID is assigned to it.

Column Filters

Above the column headers on the right, there are 3 drop down input fields, Sort Table by: (preset to Ordering), Select the ordering (preset to Ascending) and a number (preset to 20) to display.

These column sorting input fields shows the current method of sorting applied to the table. Use the drop down field choices and click the column heading name. Alternatively, click on the column heading to sort the list by that column's value. This will also change the value in the drop field to correspond with the column header name. The list will then be sorted in order by that column and a sort icon(up or down arrow) will show next to the column name. Click a second time to reverse the sort, which will change the corresponding drop field.

  • Ordering (default). The column in which to sort displayed items in the table. The values are the same as the column heading names.
  • Ascending (default). Shows ordering of selected column, ascending or descending.
  • # (default is 20). Shows the number of items to display on one page, default is 20 items. If there are more items than this number, you can use the page navigation buttons located at the bottom of the table. (Start, Prev, Next, End, and page numbers) to navigate between pages.

Toolbar

At the top right you will see the toolbar:

The functions are:

  • New. Opens the editing screen to create a new group field.
  • Edit. Opens the editing screen for the selected group field. If more than one article is selected (where applicable), only the first article will be opened. The editing screen can also be opened by clicking on the Name of the group field.
  • Delete Delete for the selected group fields.
  • Options. Opens the Options window where settings such as default parameters can be edited.
  • Video Tutorials. Opens this Video toturials.
  • Wiki Tutorials. Opens this wiki.

List Filters

The List Filters, above on the left, and other filters as detailed below are in the left, bottom sidebar. These filters are a series of controls that let you limit what items show in the manager screen. More than one filter may be entered. In this case, only items that meet all of the filter conditions will show on the list.

  • Filter by Partial Title. In the upper left is a filter or search group field and two buttons, as shown below.

  • To filter by partial title, enter part of the title and click Search.
  • Click X to clear the Filter field and restore the list to its unfiltered state.
  • Filter by Type. Lets you show only items that have a specific type assigned. The list box will show the types defined for creating or editing article, similar to the example below.
  • Page Controls. When the number of items is more than one page, you will see a page control bar as shown below. The current page number being viewed is shaded.

  • Start: Click to go to the first page.
  • Prev: Click to go to the previous page.
  • Page numbers: Click to go to the desired page.
  • Next: Click to go to the next page.
  • End: Click to go to the last page.

How to Add or Edit

Add, Edit

To add a new Group field, press the 'New' icon in the toolbar. To edit an existing Group field, click on the Group field title or click the Group field’s checkbox and then click on the Edit icon in the toolbar.

  • Name. The Name for this item. This may not display on the page.
  • Description. The description for the item. These descriptions are entered using the same editor that is used for Fields in Articles.

After information is already enter the full enough, click on the icon save in the toolbar:

  • Save. Saves the menu item and stays in the current screen.
  • Save & Close. Saves the menu item and closes the current screen.
  • Save & New. Saves the menu item and keeps the editing screen open and ready to create another menu item.
  • Cancel/Close. Closes the current screen and returns to the previous screen without saving any modifications you may have made.

Notes: This item has no parameters.

How to add Group field for Category

In the form to add or edit category, can choose or not choose Group field in entry Field Group as shown below:

After Field Group was selected, click on the Save or Save & Close or Save & New or Save as Copy icon with edit in the toolbar.

  • Filter by Published Status. Lets you show only items with the selected published status.

  • - Select Status -: Shows items that are Published and Unpublished. Does not show items that are Trashed or Archived.
  • Published: Shows only items that are Published.
  • Unpublished: Shows only items that are Unpublished.
  • Page Controls. When the number of items is more than one page, you will see a page control bar as shown below. The current page number being viewed is shaded.

How to Add or Edit

Add, Edit

This is the back-end screen where you can add and edit Field. The same screen is used for adding a new Field and editing an existing Field. You can also select the Group and Type for an Field and indicate whether or not it is Published and if it is selected to appear on the Form Create or Edit Article. The Field's description is edited using the default editor selected in the User Manager - New/Edit.

Enter the detail information for the Field, as shown below:

  • Title. The Title for this item.
  • Fields Group. Select the field group for this Field from the list box. If you selected '— Select Group —' for the Section, the Fields Group will automatically be '— Select Group —'.
  • Published. Whether or not this item is published. Select Yes or No from the radio button group to set the Published state for this item.
  • Type. Select the type for this field from the drop-down list box. This item must select.
  • Description. The description for the item.

Toolbar

  • Save. Saves the menu item and stays in the current screen.
  • Save & Close. Saves the menu item and closes the current screen.
  • Save & New. Saves the menu item and keeps the editing screen open and ready to create another menu item.
  • Cancel/Close. Closes the current screen and returns to the previous screen without saving any modifications you may have made.

How to add or edit fields for Article

In the add or edit form to create or edit the article below: Fields-add-edit-article.png

  • Fields Group. Select the Fields group for this Article from the drop-down list box. If selected 'Inherit Category' for the Section, the fields will automatically get selected by category. This item has parameter:

  • Choose a field. fields to display in article.
  • Show Extra Fields. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Fields.
  • Extra Field Type. (Use Global/Text/Image/Text and Image). Whether or not to show field in front of “Text” or “Image” or “Text and Image”.

Tags

Select Components → TZ Portfolio → Tags from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! Installation. Tags manager is used to add, edit and delete Tags.

How to Add Tag for Article

To add Tags then must be entered separated by commas (for example, "Joomla 3.0,Less Css" or “Joomla 3.0; Less Css” or “Joomla 3.0/Less Css”).

Image, Image gallery, Video, Audio for article

Can only choose one in image or album or video in an article

Image and Image hover

In the new form to create or edit the article, select the tab Image.

In this tab will have to enter the following information:

  • Image. Select a picture from computer to upload to the server
  • Browse server. Choose a photo already on the server, if not select a photo from your computer
  • Image title. The title of the photo can enter or not enter.

Parameters

  • Show Image. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article’s Image.
  • Use Image Hover. (Use Global/No/Yes). Agree or not to use image hover of the article.
  • Image Hover Speed. Optional field that allows you to customize the speed that show image when hover into image of the article.
  • TZ Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The image size is shown on Portfolio, Timeline, Gallery, Tags and User page.
  • Featured Image Size. The Image size of featured article is shown on Portfolio and Timeline page.
  • Detail Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The Image size of detail article is shown on all page.

Cloud zoom’s parameter

  • Use Cloud Zoom. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to use the image’s cloud zoom.
  • Cloud Zoom Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The image size when using cloud zoom.
  • Zoom Width. Optional field that allows you to customize the width of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Zoom Height. Optional field that allows you to customize the height of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Position. (Use Global/Inside/Left/Right/Top/Bottom). Specifies the position of the zoom window relative to the small image. Allowable values are ‘left’, ’right’, ‘top’, ‘bottom’, ‘inside’ or you can specify the id of an html element to place the zoom window in e.g. position: ‘element1’. Default value ‘inside’.
  • AdjustX. Optional field that allows you to fine tune the x-position of the zoom window in pixel.
  • AdjustY. Optional field that allows you to fine tune the y-position of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Tint Color. Optional field that allows you to specifies a tint colour which will cover the small image. Colours should be specified in hex format, e.g. '#aa00aa'. Does not work with softFocus.
  • Tint Opacity. Optionla field that allows you to customize opacity of the tint, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque.
  • Lens Opacity. Optional field that allows you to customize opacity of the lens mouse pointer, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque. In tint and soft-focus modes, it will always be transparent.
  • Soft Focus. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to applies a subtle blur effect to the small image. Set to true or false. Does not work with tint.
  • Show Title. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to show the title tag of the image.
  • Title Opacity. Optional field that allows you to customize specifies the opacity of the title if displayed, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque.

Note: Before create image, should set up image size for this item in a global config.

Image Slider

In the new form to create or edit the article, select the tab Image gallery.

In this tab will have to enter the following information: Image. Select a picture from computer to upload to the server Browse server. Choose a photo already on the server, if not select a photo from your computer Image title. The title of the photo can enter or not enter. Can create multiple images.

  • Show Image Slider. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s image slider.
  • Detail Image Gallery Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The Image size of detail article is shown on all page.
  • Slider Auto Run. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use animate for the article’s slider.
  • Show Button Direction. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s button direction for the slider.
  • Show Control Navigation. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s control navigation for the slider.
  • Show Pause/Play. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to show the article’s button pause/play for the slider.
  • Pause On Action. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to pause the slideshow when interacting with control elements, highly recommended.
  • Pause On Hover. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to pause the slideshow when hovering over slider, then resume when no longer hovering.
  • Use CSS. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to override the use of CSS3 translate 3d animation.
  • Slide Direction. (Use Global/Horizontal/Vertical). Select the sliding direction, horizontal or vertical.
  • Animation Type. (Use Global/Slide/Fade). Animation type for slideshow.
  • Slide Show Speed. Optional field that allows you to customize the speed of the slideshow cycling.
  • Animation Duration. Optional field that allows you to customize the speed of animations.

Note: Before create image, should set image size for this item in a global config.

Video

This section only applies to video of youtube and vimeo or video embed code can be pasted. The upload will be selected in the media type:

  • Default. Copy the embed code from the video site that does that and paste into the Media source.

  • Youtube. Paste the code of the video on the media source, can get the code as follows:

For example video path "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd3F_XnGorc". Code of the video will be "Qd3F_XnGorc"

  • Vimeo. Just like youtube, with path "http://vimeo.com/28435066" then the code is "28435066"

  • Show Video. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s video.
  • Video Width. Optional field that allows you to customize the width of video.
  • Video Height. Optional field that allows you to customize the height of video.

Audio

Paste the code of the soundcloud in the SoundCloud ID:

  • SoundCloud ID: Id of the song to play a SoundClound song.
  • SoundCloud Thumb: Thumbnail for SoundCloud song.
  • SoundCloud Caption: Caption for SoundCloud song.

Insert the Quote’s Author and the Quote’s Text and must choose Media Type is “Quote”.

How to add Attachment for article

In the add or edit form to create or edit the article below: Attachment-article.png To add Attach file to the article, click the browse button select the file from your computer. Can enter or not to enter a title for the attach. This item has:
