Introduction

TZ Portfolio inherits all the features of com_content so in this case we only mention the features that joomla not. If you want to know the basic features of com_content follow this path Joomla! Documentation

How to create a Portfolio Page

How To Access

To create a new Portfolio Menu Item:

  • Select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation (for example, Menus → Main Menu).
  • Click New to create a new menu item or click on an existing item to edit.
  • Click the Menu Item Type Select button and then click the Portfolio link under the Articles link.

To edit an existing Portfolio Menu Item, click its Title in Menu Manager: Menu Items.

Description

Used to show articles belonging to the Categories in a portfolio layout. Additional Articles with intro text, and additional links to more Articles in the same category. Some examples of settings for the Portfolio Layout format include: number of articles, article columns width. See the Advanced Details Tab for all this menu item.

  • Menu Title. The title that will display for this menu item.
  • Menu Location. The menu that this menu item (choice) will be part of. The menus defined for the site will show in the list box.

  • Select/Choose a Category. The Category that will display for this menu item.


Article Options

The Portfolio Layout has the following Article Options, as shown below. These options determine how the articles will show in the portfolio layout. Menu-item-article-options.png

In addition to Yes/No or Hide/Show, these options allow the following settings.

  • Use Global: Use the default value from Article Manager Options.
  • Use Article Settings: Use the value from the Article Manager Edit. This setting allows you to have different options for different articles in the blog layout. For example, one article could show the author and other articles could hide the author.

The Article Options are as follows.

  • Show Title. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Title.
  • Linked Titles. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's Title is shown, whether to show it as a link to the article.
  • Show Intro Text. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). If set to Show, the Intro Text of the article will show when you drill down to the article. If set to Hide, only the part of the article after the "Read More" break will show.
  • Show Category. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Category.
  • Link Category. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's Category is shown, whether to show it as a link to a Category layout (list or blog) for that Category.
  • Show Parent. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Parent Category.
  • Link Parent. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's Parent Category is shown, whether to show it as a link to a Category layout (list or blog) for that Category.
  • Show Author. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show) Whether to show the author of the Article.
  • Link Author. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's author is shown, whether to show it as a link to a Contact layout for that author. Note that the author must be set up as a Contact in Contact Manager: Edit.
  • Show Create Date. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's create date.
  • Show Modify Date. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's modify date.
  • Show Publish Date. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's start publishing date.
  • Show Navigation. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show a navigation link (for example, Next or Previous article) when you drill down to the article.
  • Show Voting. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the a voting icon for the article.
  • Show Read More. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show a "Read More" link to allow a drill down to the entire article.
  • Show Title with Read More. (Use Global/Hide/Show). If set to Show, the Article's title will show in the "Read More" button.
  • Show Icons. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). If set to Show, Print and Email will use icons instead of text.
  • Show Print Icon. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the Print Article button.
  • Show Email Icon. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the Email Article button.
  • Show Hits. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the number of times the article has been hit (displayed by a user).
  • Show Unauthorised Links. (Use Global/No/Yes). If Yes, the Intro Text for restricted articles will show. Clicking on the "Read More" link will require users to log in to view the full article content.
  • Show Related Article. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the Related Article.
  • Show Related Heading. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the related heading on the article.
  • Related Heading. Optional field that allow you to customize the relate heading.
  • Show Related As. (Use Global/Only Title/Only Image/Title And Image). Related articles are displayed in the selected format.
  • Featured Articles. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the featured article.
  • Related Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). If the related article’s image is shown, this image is shown with width chosen.
  • Related Order. (Use Global/Most Recent/Most Oldest/Most Hits/Least Hits). Order of related articles in this Layout.


TZ Basic Options

The TZ Basic Options control the way that portfolio information is shown in the layout. The Portfolio Layout has the following TZ Basic Options, as shown below. Menu-item-portfolio-basic-option.png

  • Redirect To: (Use Global/Default/Blog Article/Portfolio Article). Display detail article in front of Blog article page or Portfolio article page.
  • Article Limit: Optional field that follows you to customize number of articles.
  • Use Filter First Letter: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use filter with the first letter of the article title.
  • First Letter Text: Optional field that allows you to use the first letter of the article title to filter. Must enter the letters in the form of "a,b,c,d...".
  • Show Limit Box: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the limit box on this page.
  • Choose A Layout Paging: (Use Global/Default/Ajax Button/Ajax Infinitescroll). Default Layout Paging for Portfolio and Timeline page.
  • Show Filter: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show filter masonry.
  • Filter Type. (Use Global/Tags/Categories). Data Tags or categories are displayed to filter articles.
  • Filter Order. (Use Global/Auto/Ascending/Descending). Whether or not to filter Tags or categories with item chosen.
  • Show Sort. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s sort.
  • Show Layout. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s layout.
  • Layout Type. (Use Global/Masonry/Fit Rows/Straight Down). The type to display article columns.
  • Column Width. Optional field that allows you to customize a column width of the article.
  • Feature Column Width. Optional field that allows you to customize a column width of the featured article.
  • Introtext Limit. Optional field that allows you to customize number from the introductory text of the article.
  • Show Attachments. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s attachments.
  • Show Extra Fields. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s Extrafield.
  • Extra Field Type. (Use Global/Text/Image/Text And Image). To display article as a text, image, text and image.
  • Fields Order. (Use Global/Most Recent first/Oldest first/Title Alphabetical/Title Reverse Alphabetical/Ordering). The order that fields will show in.
  • Show Tags. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s tags.
  • Show User. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s user.
  • Show User’s Gender. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Gender of the article.
  • Show User’s Email. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Email of the article.
  • Show User’s Url. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Url of the article.
  • Show User’s Description. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the User’s Description of the article.
  • Article Order. Order of articles in this Layout. The following options are available.

  • Use Global: Use the default value from the component options screen.
  • Featured Articles Order: Articles are ordered according to the Order column entered in Article Manager: Featured Article.
  • Most recent first: Articles are displayed starting with the most recent and ending with the oldest.
  • Oldest first: Articles are displayed starting with the oldest and ending with the most recent.
  • Title Alphabetical: Articles are displayed by Title in alphabetical order (A to Z)
  • Title Reverse Alphabetical: Articles are displayed by Title in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A)
  • Author Alphabetical: Articles are displayed by Author in alphabetical order (A to Z)
  • Author Reverse Alphabetical: Articles are displayed by Author in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A)
  • Most Hits: Articles are displayed by the number of hits, starting with the one with the most hits and ending with the one with the least hits
  • Least Hits: Articles are displayed by the number of hits, starting with the one with the least hits and ending with the one with the most hits
  • Article Manager Order: Articles are ordered according to the Order column entered in the Article Manager.
  • Pagination. Hide or Show Pagination support. Pagination provides page links at the bottom of the page that allow the User to navigate to additional pages. These are needed if the listed items will not fit on one page. An example is shown below.

The following options are available.

  • Use Global: Use the default value from the component options screen.
  • Auto: Pagination links shown if needed.
  • Show: Pagination links shown if needed.
  • Italic textHide: Pagination links not shown. Note: In this case, Users will not be able to navigate to additional pages.
  • Pagination Results. Hide or Show the current page number and total pages (e.g., "Page 1 of 2") at the bottom of each page. Use Global will use the default value from the component options.


Image Options

Image Options control the image and the image hover are shown.

  • Show Image. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s image.
  • Use Image Hover. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use the article’s image hover.
  • Image hover Speed: Optional field that allows you to customize the speed that show image when hover into image of the article.
  • TZ Image Size: (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The image size is shown on Portfolio, Timeline, Gallery, Tags and User page.
  • Featured Image Size: The Image size of featured article is shown on Portfolio and Timeline page.
  • Detail Image Size: (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The Image size of detail article is shown on all page.


Image Slider Options

Image Slider Options control the slider are shown.

  • Show Image Slider: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s image slider.
  • Detail Image Gallery Size: (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The Image size of detail article is shown on all page.
  • Slider Auto Run: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use animate for the article’s slider.
  • Show Button Direction: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s button direction for the slider.
  • Show Control Navigation: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s control navigation for the slider.
  • Show Pause/Play: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to show the article’s button pause/play for the slider.
  • Pause On Action: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to pause the slideshow when interacting with control elements, highly recommended.
  • Pause On Hover: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to pause the slideshow when hovering over slider, then resume when no longer hovering.
  • Use CSS: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to override the use of CSS3 translate 3d animation.
  • Slide Direction: (Use Global/Horizontal/Vertical). Select the sliding direction, horizontal or vertical.
  • Animation Type: (Use Global/Slide/Fade). Animation type for slideshow.
  • Slide Show Speed: Optional field that allows you to customize the speed of the slideshow cycling.
  • Animation Duration: Optional field that allows you to customize the speed of animations.


Video Options

Video Options control the video are shown.

  • Show Video: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s video.
  • Video Width: Optional field that allows you to customize the width of video.
  • Video Height: Optional field that allows you to customize the height of video.


Google Map Options

Google Map Options control the google map are shown.

  • Show Google Map. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s google map.
  • Google Map Width. Optional field that allows you to customize the map’s width of the article. Must put the units behind the number like 100% or 500 or 500px.
  • Google Map Height. Optional field that allows you to customize the map’s width of the article. Must put the units behind the number like 100% or 500 or 500px.
  • Mouse Wheel Zoom. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether to not use zoom map with mouse wheel of the article.
  • Zoom Level. (Use Global/1/2/…/20). The Zoom Level for the first view of the map.
  • Latitude. Optional field that allows you to display the map’s latitude.
  • Longtitude. Optional field that allows you to display the map’s longtitude.
  • Address. Optional field that allows you to customize the map’s address for display location.
  • Custom Tooltip. Optional field that allows you to customize the map’s tooltip.


Lightbox Options

Lightbox Options control the slider are used.

  • Use Light Box. (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to use the lightbox when click on the article’s title or the article’s image or the article’s readmore.
  • Light Box Transition. (Use Global/None/Elastic/Fade). The transition type. Can be set to "Elastic", "Fade", or "None".
  • Light Box Speed. Optional field that allows you to customize the speed of the fade and elastic transitions, in milliseconds.
  • Light Box Opacity. Optional field that allows you to customize the overlay opacity level. Range: 0 to 1.
  • Light Box Width. Optional field that allows you to customize the width of lightbox.
  • Light Box Height. Optional field that allows you to customize the height of lightbox.


Cloud Zoom Options

Cloud Zoom Options control the cloud zoom are used.

  • Use Cloud Zoom: (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to use the image’s cloud zoom.
  • Cloud Zoom Image Size: (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). The image size when using cloud zoom.
  • Zoom Width: Optional field that allows you to customize the width of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Zoom Height: Optional field that allows you to customize the height of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Position: (Use Global/Inside/Left/Right/Top/Bottom). Specifies the position of the zoom window relative to the small image. Allowable values are ‘left’, ’right’, ‘top’, ‘bottom’, ‘inside’ or you can specify the id of an html element to place the zoom window in e.g. position: ‘element1’. Default value ‘inside’.
  • AdjustX: Optional field that allows you to fine tune the x-position of the zoom window in pixel.
  • AdjustY: Optional field that allows you to fine tune the y-position of the zoom window in pixel.
  • Tint Color: Optional field that allows you to specifies a tint colour which will cover the small image. Colours should be specified in hex format, e.g. '#aa00aa'. Does not work with softFocus.
  • Tint Opacity: Optionla field that allows you to customize opacity of the tint, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque.
  • Lens Opacity: Optional field that allows you to customize opacity of the lens mouse pointer, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque. In tint and soft-focus modes, it will always be transparent.
  • Soft Focus: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to applies a subtle blur effect to the small image. Set to true or false. Does not work with tint.
  • Show Title: (Use Global/No/Yes). Whether or not to show the title tag of the image.
  • Title Opacity: Optional field that allows you to customize specifies the opacity of the title if displayed, where 0 is fully transparent, and 1 is fully opaque.


Social Network – Comment Options

Social Network – Comment Options control the slider are shown.

  • Show Comment. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s comment.
  • Comment Type. (Use Global/Facebook/JComment/Disqus). Whether or not to use the comment’s type on the article.
  • Show Comment Count. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the article’s comment count.
  • Your DISQUS subdomain (shortname). Optional field that allows you to customize the subdomain to what you registered with DISQUS (without '.disqus.com').
  • DISQUS API Secret Key. Optional field that allows you to the DISQUS API Secret Key for display comment count.
  • Test DISQUS comments on a local development server. (Use Global/Disabled/Enabled). Whether or not to enable DISQUS comments without having to upload your website on the actual domain associated with the DISQUS service.
  • Twitter Button. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the twitter button like on the article.
  • Facebook Button. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the facebook button like on the article.
  • Google +1 Button. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the google +1 button like on the article.


Integration Options

The Aritcle Portfolio layout has the following Integration Options.

These determine whether a news feed will be available for the page and what information it will show.

  • Show Feed Link. (Use Global/Hide/Show) Whether to Hide or Show a link to a news feed (RSS Feed). If set to Show, a Feed Link will show up as a feed icon in the address bar of most modern browsers.
  • For each feed item show. (Use Global/Intro Text/Full Text) If Intro Text, only the article's intro text will show in the feed. Otherwise, the entire text of the article will show.
  • Show Feed Image. (Use Global/Hide/Show) Whether to Hide or Show a image to a news feed (RSS Feed). If set to Show, a Feed Image will show up as a feed icon in the address bar of most modern browsers.
  • Feed Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). Whether or not to set image size for a news feed (RSS Feed).

How to create a Timeline Page

How to access

To create a new Timeline Menu Item:

  • Select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation (for example, Menus → Main Menu).

Description

How to create a Tag Page

How to access

To create a new Tag Menu Item: Select Menus → [name of the menu] from the drop-down menu on the back-end of your Joomla! installation (for example, Menus → Main Menu). Click New to create a new menu item or click on an existing item to edit. Click the Menu Item Type Select button and then click the Tag link under the Articles link. To edit an existing Tag Menu Item, click its Title in Menu Manager: Menu Items.

Description

Used to show articles belonging to a specific tag in a Tag layout. Additional Articles with intro text, and additional links to more Articles with the tag. Some examples of settings for the Tag Layout format include: number of articles, filter with letter. See the Advanced Details Tab for all this menu item.

Required Settings

This layout requires that you select a tag.

The Tag Layout has the following Article Options, as shown below. These options determine how the articles will show in the tag layout.

  • Use Global: Use the default value from Article Manager Options.
  • Use Article Settings: Use the value from the Article Manager Edit. This setting allows you to have different options for different articles in the blog layout. For example, one article could show the author and other articles could hide the author.

The Article Options are as follows.

  • Show Title. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Title.
  • Linked Titles. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's Title is shown, whether to show it as a link to the article.
  • Show Intro Text. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). If set to Show, the Intro Text of the article will show when you drill down to the article. If set to Hide, only the part of the article after the "Read More" break will show.
  • Show Category. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/Hide/Show). Whether or not to show the Article's Category.
  • Link Category. (Use Global/Use Article Settings/No/Yes). If the Article's Category is shown, whether to show it as a link to a Category layout (list or blog) for that Category.

  • Show Unauthorised Links. (Use Global/No/Yes). If Yes, the Intro Text for restricted articles will show. Clicking on the "Read More" link will require users to log in to view the full article content.
  • Show Related Article. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the Related Article.
  • Show Related Heading. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the related heading on the article.
  • Related Heading. Optional field that allow you to customize the relate heading.
  • Show Related As. (Use Global/Only Title/Only Image/Title And Image). Related articles are displayed in the selected format.
  • Featured Articles. (Use Global/Hide/Show). Show or Hide the featured article.
  • Related Image Size. (Use Global/XSmall/Small/Medium/Large/XLarge). If the related article’s image is shown, this image is shown with width chosen.
  • Related Order. (Use Global/Most Recent/Most Oldest/Most Hits/Least Hits). Order of related articles in this Layout.

TZ Basic Options

The TZ Basic Options control the way that tag and some other information is shown in the layout. The Tag Layout has the following TZ Basic Options, as shown below.
